Rebuilding Sacred Intimacy After Betrayal

A 12-week guided path for couples ready to heal — body, heart, and faith.

You've Forgiven. So Why Does Your Body Still Freeze?

Betrayal trauma recovery for couples starts with one truth: your body remembers what your heart has forgiven.

You’ve done the counseling. Spoken the words of forgiveness. Meant them. But when the lights go out, something in you still pulls away. Your body remembers what your heart has released.

This is not a faith failure. It’s a nervous system response. Rebuilding Sacred Intimacy offers a faith-based approach to betrayal trauma recovery for couples — a guided path that honors your body’s wiring, not just your willpower.

Rebuilding Sacred Intimacy was created for couples like you — who’ve chosen to stay, chosen to heal, and are ready for the missing piece.

OUR STORY

We Didn't Find This Resource. So We Built It.

We know what it’s like to sit across from each other and wonder if the distance would ever close. We’ve done the counseling, read the books, and prayed the prayers. But nothing addressed the one thing we couldn’t talk about — why physical intimacy still felt unsafe, even after forgiveness.

Rebuilding Sacred Intimacy is what we wish someone had handed us — a guided path that honors your faith, respects your body’s trauma response, and gives you both permission to heal at your own pace.

Grounded in polyvagal science. Informed by APSATS-certified principles. Written from the trenches of our own recovery.

THE KINTSUGI PATH

Broken Doesn't Mean Beyond Repair

In the Japanese art of kintsugi, broken pottery is repaired with gold — not to hide the damage, but to honor it. The cracks become the most beautiful part of the piece.

That’s the heart of this workbook. Over 12 weeks, you and your spouse will move through a guided process designed to reconnect body, heart, and faith — not by pretending the fracture didn’t happen, but by filling it with gold.

Weeks 5–8

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions We Hear Most

Is this workbook only for Christian couples?

The workbook is written from a Christian perspective and includes Scripture-based prayers and reflections. However, the somatic and communication exercises are grounded in clinical research and can benefit any couple navigating betrayal recovery.

No. The workbook is designed as a self-guided resource. However, we always encourage working with a licensed therapist — especially one trained in betrayal trauma (APSATS-certified) — alongside the workbook for deeper support.

Many of the early exercises can be done individually. The workbook is designed to meet you where you are. If your spouse isn’t ready to participate, you can still begin your own healing journey and invite them in when they’re ready.

Absolutely not. This workbook never places the burden of healing on the betrayed spouse. It addresses the shared space between you — and honors that both partners carry wounds that need tending.

The workbook is a digital PDF delivered immediately after purchase. You can print it at home or use it on any device.

We thought we were broken beyond repair. This workbook helped us find gold in the fractures we were afraid to touch.
